As I document my journey on YouTube I have learned a few things.

first you have to find yourself! There was a lot of soul searching and unfortunately the way this world works. People don’t get to see the ugly parts they only join when everything looks cutesy and demure but nobody is there when you go through the “rough” phase. And that’s okay! Another story for another day but it does take a LOT of not liking things before you get to what you do like. Stick with it!

Don’t get me wrong! I’m still in process. And it will always be like that. We constantly evolve as people and seasons change. Allow yourself to change. You’re a person! Not a robot. You’re not going to like only one thing forever. We grow and evolve overtime that’s the beauty of process.

what has helped me is my view of myself. I try my best to see myself as God sees me. Love on myself . Speak life into myself . And freaking dress for myself. God is a creator and I am reflection of him so therefore I am creative! And it’s from my point of view. Everybody may not get it! And you have to come to terms and grow out of wanting to be accepted or understood! Shoot Jesus was misunderstood his whole life!

I think also a big key! Is I just stopped walking into my closet with pressure. Pressure to create this an amazing look. Pressure of how will this look good on camera ? Pressure to be something I’m not . Just straight pressure take it off! We have so much seriousness to face in life . Your outfit shouldn’t be one!

You learn about yourself when you let yourself flow! Break that perfectionist in you.

Personally style doesn’t mean every outfit has to extra and out of the box. It’s about adding your own touch to things.

And the biggest thing! Inspiration NOT dependence. Putting the phone down! Taking Pinterest off of my phone, and only keeping it on my iPad. It’s a hindrance. When we’re constantly scrolling and looking at everyone else I believe we’re subconsciously letting everyone else think for us. We don’t even know what we like anymore because we run to the internet or seek validation. “Is this what’s cool?” “What is everyone else doing?” That doesn’t work after while because now you don’t even know what you like. So it’s hard but try not to rely on others as much. It’s so worth it because your voice gets stronger in the long run.

But that’s my keys for today girls. Xoxo
