Do it the way God gave it you – it’s okay if how you share the gospel (or personal stories of how the faith impacted your life) is different from everyone else. Your anointing is in the way God gifted you to do it.
Don’t try to prove your Christianity– your change may take longer. Keep your focus on becoming like Jesus, and let the power of the Holy Spirit transform you from within. I think the pressure of the Christian culture will make you try to change yourself through works and not a change in heart posture stemming from judgment of people. Trying out of your on strength will eventually run out because it’s not spirit lead.
Ex: the fear of condemnation, not by God, but by his people had me at one point afraid to show my humanity. Had me trying to polish myself in order to fit into the “box.” So allow God, or your circle of accountability, to convict you and mold you in His time. I feel like there may be so many girls/guys that want to share their story but are afraid of the judgement or how it’ll look just because they’re still in process. But people need to see that change overtime. It may encourage someone to come to Jesus just as they are. I think the dangerous thing is it’s so easy to portray a “good” christian image, but it’s harder to stand in openness and vulnerability.
*a key to hold on to: Gods word is full of imperfect people
Its doesn’t make you less of a Christian if you don’t have a “Christian” platform– it’s okay. We’re not all called to have a huge following. Your way of reaching souls may be totally different. Even if you do social media for a living letting it be known God is the reason you’re here may look different than the typical Christian platform. You may work a 9-5 but have so many encounters of Jesus by your spirit and how you carry yourself. It may be through how you style your clothes. Your mannerisms. The simplest things God can use as an invitation. It may just be the simple question of how did you keep going? All God need is an invitation; He can handle the rest. Plus it’s okay to just be a disciple who is trying to understand the revelation, communing with God, and building your life on Christ.
God is not limited to a platform and it doesn’t make you less of Christian if you just show your life.
Key to hold on : it’s okay to be a student of the faith and learn; don’t rush to speak.
A big part of life is learning to rely on God– underneath that desire, to make it, is dependency. Now where you place the dependence is the key. Sometimes we rely on our own plan of action of how we’re gonna get there; resulting in dependent and trust in our selves. It has to work leading it to become an idol. Because you think that is what/why you have made or it will be the reason why. But truly you have to put your dependence back on God. If you do find success in it the reason you did is because of God. He is the one who made it possible.
Sometimes you feel like what you’re called to is heavy, and there may be moments it feels like you can’t find God anywhere in the midst. While reading Enduring commentary for Mark 6:45- 52, something stuck with me. When the wind ceased it was meant to assure them that Jesus was in control, and He would always LOVINGLY be there to help them fulfill what HE commanded. It warmed my heart because no matter what I feel as long as he commanded it I know I am not alone. That “lovingly” puts an emphasis on it; this isn’t just help but God helps with sincere care.
Let go of thinking so far ahead..tomorrow has its own worries. Just take one step at a time.
Your life is not an aesthetic! So Why are you try to create and build that way. That’s not a reflection of you. Creating is a flow. A feeling. It’s Intuition . This is the real you .
When you start focusing on if this looks good then you start thinking with your head. Which leads to overthinking every single time. Or you freezing and not posting anything
The making takes time– I wish I would have known coming into this new reality . That it takes time. It’s not overnight. And the building process may take years but just because that is true doesn’t mean God is not going to do it. Don’t keep your eye on the “success” and think that’s when life gets better. Life is good because God is good. He is faithful. He’s with you. And he sent his son, to die, for you so that you can directly commune with Him. There is beauty through all the trials and triumphs. Just be patient. And remember Our end goal is eternity; not in the worldly success.
