what if being better for the world first began in your own little world. Your inner self.

You give everyone else grace but yet when it comes to you there is no limit. No limit to how you speak to yourself, what you think about yourself , or how you even look at yourself. Just ripping apart the one body, life, soul, and mind that was given to you.
You expect yourself to be fixed by tomorrow. To have it altogether by the age of 30; yet you’re telling everyone else it takes time. Where is that same level of grace for you? The grace that God gives you? You afflict more pain and pressure onto yourself then he does. Because he is that same father who came down, in an earthly body, to die for you; he even knew you couldn’t handle trying to be perfect. That grace. Why don’t you extend that same grace to yourself?

Uplifting, encouraging, and pouring into everyone else’s cup but what is being poured into you? You believe everyone else can do it. Giving away all the hope, love, and affirming words. But your cup is empty when its finally time to quince your thirst. That love, passion, and enthusiasm to live slowly dwindling out because you’re showing up for everyone else. What have you done with the very words that reflects the love of God? What does he say about you?

the ones like :

  • Fearfully and wonderfully made psalms 139:13-14
  • you are a light Matthew 5:14
  • you are loved 1 John 4:10
  • you are able because your strength comes from your father Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 6:10
  • you are beautiful
  • there is no one like you
  • lean not on your own understanding proverbs 3:5-6
  • remember God is not in a rush

This is how we do it. Loving oneself, or as they say self love, isn’t about boosting our egos or to think we’re better than the next. It’s simply about filling ourselves with what God says about us. Replacing the negativity with new seeds of love. Because God is love.

change the script! Be aware of what you say to yourself. Be honest with yourself but in a loving kind way. Does it sound like God? If not replace it with new seeds. Seeds that comes from the Bible. Finding his voice through his word. Find affirming words that covers you. Love on yourself. See yourself in a new light. A reflection of God’s creation. Beauty. He creates only beautiful things. That come in all different ways. I challenge you to find what’s beautiful about you? Your soul? Personality? Gift? What makes you YOU?.
