Breaking a cycle is an uphill battle. Those thoughts come creeping back in. Trying to get me to hate myself again. Trying to make me believe that this will be yet again another fail. But I choose not to surrender to them.
With my hands lifting to my father. “Here you go.”
I’m not strong enough yet to fully fight this. I need your strength. I need your words.
Your word reminds me to cast my cares upon you. That nothing is too hard, big, small, or stupid for you. Give it all to you. So I trade these thoughts for your words.
That “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(Philippians 4:13)
This will no longer plague my family. This cycle stops with me. We will have the faith, scriptures, wisdom, strength, and authority to take control of our lives. This no longer keeps us hidden behind the cover.
As I destroy the lies. Here’s the truth.
You’re showing up. You’re working on yourself daily. You will fall in love with the journey and not a destination because this is a lifestyle. Its not an instant gratification. This takes time. Speak life and not death. And you’re deciding to love yourself and not criticize yourself.
I choose to not give up.
