Trust is the hardest thing I’m facing right now. Obedience is building something in me. Saying no to the ways I use to operate. And instead leaning on the Holiness of God.

I didn’t think breaking old thought patterns would create so many puddles of water.

Trusting in the Lord to do the impossible when the only thing we knew for generations was trying on our own. Saying yes to God but still digging in the dirt with our own tools to make a way.
But what harm could I do if I’m not obedient? If I don’t choose to break the generational patterns? What fruit would be destroyed? What roots would be pulled up? Or worse, could the harvest not even come?

Do I trust in my own strength and reap the same outcome? Or do I fully surrender?

Surrender. It sounds easy

but yet…

There’s this battle inside of me. Spirit vs flesh .

I know it’s a daily fight but this one feels different. This one feels like I gotta put some weight on it. Like I can’t just say it but I have to be about it. There’s has to be action behind the words “I trust you.” Like my destiny is heavily dependent on my current faithfulness to God rather than myself.

Because my feelings are telling me that i should give into the doubt. Being still will stunt your growth. Your hands needs to be creating. That it’s up to me. God has forgotten about you. You need to be moving to be productive. That your destiny is in YOUR hands. You gotta make it happen. Maybe you should do life the practical way where you know you won’t fall. Where there is always an option.

And then

Spirit tells me to obey the command. “Be still, and know that I am God…” (Psalms 46:10)
That the impossible belongs to him.

But God that goes against everything that I know?! That doesn’t make sense to me how me being still won’t slow the process. But rather it’s an expression of trust. Living the kingdom life; the way you intended it to be. Dependent upon you.
proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”

To resist the flesh and be led by the Holy Spirit . The truth.
Through wisdom I’m learning this is the way of living. (Better words the way it was always meant to be.)

Talk to you soon, Key Lashaye 🖤

p.s. Learn from me, being “still” isn’t freezing everything and putting life on pause. It’s actively show up, and trusting God to take control of the impossible, while you keep the faith and work on the possible. So remember!!! You’re not meant to do it on your own. Lay down the control.
