Tonight in my prayer time I asked God how can I serve him or what can I do more? He responded with being patient and focus more on him. And God will give you a word but he will also confirm it with his living word, the Bible. He then told me to read Luke 10.
And I’m not gone act like I knew the revelation when I opened my Bible or even knew why I was about to read it but I obeyed. And as I read, I begin to pause in between verses and ask God for his revelation. Well I begin to read the part about Martha and Mary.
Luke 10:38-41 :
“Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.””
God confirmed and showed me that I too have habits of Martha but I need to become like Mary.
There is nothing wrong for wanting to serve and do Kingdom work but there’s nothing more important than to be in His presence.
I can admit and repent that I do strive and want to reach for the blessings but what good is if I’m not in the presence of my father. I’d rather have the source than the resources.
talk to you soon, Key Lashaye 🖤
