This weekend I was a homebody. Like always! I spent time to just rest my mind because lately it has been going nonstop. When I do that, it’s usually me worrying about things of the future which causes anxiety for me.
I woke up Saturday morning late and I ended up watching my niece for a few hours. During that time, I made her lunch and decided to make a smoothie. Also I’ll leave the ingredients down below.
While she was napping, I decided to get out of pjs and put clothes on. I chose something simple and comfortable since I wasn’t leaving the house. While getting ready, I watched a video on creating mini vlogs. I want to challenge my creative side so stay tune for that.
Around 3 o’clock, I put the phone down and colored. This is something I just incorporated into my routine because it helps me be off socials and relaxes my mind. I did not realize I spent 2-3 hours coloring and it made me so happy being at peace. Of course I used my phone to take a picture. Take a look in the gallery. Later that day, I listened to one of my favorite podcasts: Left on Read. It’s good to listen to things that teaches/motivates you but sometimes it’s okay to listen to fun and not so serious podcasts.
After dinner, I took a shower and did my devotion. Then ended the night watching YouTube videos.
Sunday morning, I woke up at 8:00 am. I didn’t get out of bed until 10 and went downstairs to get some coffee. Once I came back to my room, I turned my worship music on and I stripped the bed for laundry day. Shortly after, I just talked to God and I spoke my affirmations over myself.
At 11:00 am, I watched church and it was really good. Let’s just say that message was for ME! The rest of the day I pretty much rested and caught up on one of my favorite shows. Around sunset, I wanted to do self care to get prepared for the next week. That included hair care, skin care, and planning my to do list and upcoming content.
